Adyen

• 14000 sqft • 150 people

With impressive offices around the world, Adyen’s brief for Making Moves when finding and fitting out their London office was clear: central location, cool building and amazing amenities, including an outdoor roof terrace. Our agency team found a converted car park in Fitzrovia, that ticked all the boxes. Adyen instructed Making Moves Technical to fit out the space, giving each floor its own function and personality. Read on to learn how we helped create Adyen’s lavish London HQ.

Priorities:

  • Central location
  • Warehouse building
  • Outside terrace space
  • Hybrid models
  • Collaborative areas

Value added:

Our search team completed a Stay vs. Go analysis process to determine whether it was best for Adyen to make the move or reconfigure their existing space. Taking into account costs, location and growth plans, we concluded that moving made sense for the business and found them an amazing four floors in Wells Mews, Fitzrovia.

The Making Moves Technical team defined functionalities and separated spaces, giving each of the floors a distinct identity. Detailed floor planning allowed each floor to have different functions, such as a social and event space on the top floor, a client entertainment floor with high-performance meeting rooms and areas to demo Adyen’s payment products, collaborative workspaces and booths on the third floor, and focussed meeting spaces, a library, and a gym on the second floor.

It was important to the client to provide employees with wellbeing/personal areas, such as a meditation space, prayer room and gym. These facilities not only promote employee health and wellness but also offer spaces for relaxation and contemplation. Plus, the inclusion of an outside terrace space, a requirement on which Adyen would not compromise, added an extra element of lavishness to the workplace, providing dedicated space for relaxation and socialising.

Katie Oakham, Office Manager at Adyen commented: “Working with Making Moves was a pleasure from start to finish. Globally we have some great offices and we wanted to make sure our London hub was up to scratch. Not only do we now have some incredible facilities, such as our fantastic gym, but every floor looks beautiful. Making Moves has allowed us to combine style and functionality in the very heart of the West End.”
