Telefonica Tech, a multinational technology and telecommunications company, engaged Making Moves to deliver a London relocation that would elevate their presence in the Square Mile. Having outgrown their Old Street office, they sought a larger, more inspiring space to reflect their innovation-led brand and provide an impressive hub for clients, partners and staff.

Our agency team supported Telefonica in exploring a range of options before securing a standout 14,500 sq ft space at 20 Fenchurch Street, also known as the Walkie Talkie. The floorplate offered the scale and prestige they needed, with dramatic views from the moment you walk into reception.
Making Moves Technical led the project to strip back the pre-fitted office to CAT A and deliver a new CAT B fit out over an 18-week programme. A key focus was the innovation centre, featuring six back-to-back screens to showcase Telefonica’s products and cutting-edge tech. Other features flexible event space that opens up into the main work area for networking and socialising after presentations, plus a dedicated podcast and content suite to support their growing media needs.
Working closely with Telefonica’s in-house IT team we ensured technical installations and brand storytelling were seamlessly integrated throughout. Managing multiple stakeholders within 20 Fenchurch Street required careful coordination to keep the programme on track and minimise disruption. High-spec meeting rooms and acoustic performance created spaces that support confidential discussions and dynamic collaboration. Our dilapidations team also provided strategic support on their Old Street office, minimising reinstatement costs as part of a smooth transition plan.
The result is a striking, future-ready hub that showcases Telefonica Tech’s innovation and supports their ambitious growth in London’s iconic Walkie Talkie.
