Global luxury fashion retailer, MATCHESFASHION.COM, required a globally recognised luxury location. We delivered The Shard. Looking to relocate its headquarters from South West London to a more Central London location, The Shard offered the perfect space to accommodate the retailer’s rapid growth.

Making Moves secured MatchesFashion space within a ‘trophy’ office building that the client didn’t think they would be able to afford, The Shard. Not only that, we negotiated an incentive package for them which was worth over £5m. We advised the client on a sensible relocation strategy, to ensure the acquisition of the new office was delivered on time and in budget.

In 2022, with surplus space due to hybrid working, we undertook stay vs leave analysis to determine whether Matches should remain in The Shard, or move the workforce to Here East full time. The stay vs leave analysis resulted in the client’s decision to remain in The Shard and release a floor, which our Exit team delivered.
