It’s official! Making Moves have come in at Number 38 on the Startups 100 list 2018!

In its 10th year anniversary, this year’s index ranks the UK’s “most awe-inspiring and fast-growth potential new businesses launched in the last three years”. So, as you can imagine, we are pretty excited to be part of it.

As a specialist in advising startups and high growth clients, as well as being a startup ourselves, being part of the list is a fantastic achievement.

A Brief History of Making Moves

The commercial property industry has traditionally been extremely corporate and archaic (and let’s face it, a little dry). Another issue with the industry is that the majority of deals are done in the landlord’s favour, getting the highest rent for them and tying young companies into lengthy leases which is not ideal if you’re a new, fast-growing company.

Enter, Making Moves.

Our founder, Tobi Crosbie, saw an opportunity to create an agency in which the main and only focus was to protect the company signing the lease. This is why we never work on behalf of landlords, to avoid any conflict-of-interest.

Moving office is an exciting part of any company’s growth plans and we want to make sure it is as stress-free as possible. We won’t ever overload you with confusing property jargon, and we ensure that we keep the process simple. We offer our clients ‘real’ advice, which is in their best interest and not our own.

For this reason, we run our business on a ‘No Find. No Fee.’ basis where we only charge our clients a fee once we have found them a building they are happy with.

Since starting the business, we have helped a huge range of clients with their office moves including Matches Fashion, Bloom & Wild, Tenzing and Blis Media.

In three years, the business has grown from 1 to 10 people, and we have some very exciting plans to expand and diversify the business. Watch this space.
