At Making Moves, we take immense pride in our ability to craft bespoke office solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. Our recent relocations showcased visionary collaboration, creativity, and commitment.

“This is a scheme our team has worked tirelessly on for over three years. It began with a vision of our clients’ aspirations, involved creating solutions unavailable on the open market, and culminated in delivering truly unique properties. It’s one of the most rewarding projects of my career – incredibly gratifying to see the final results. I must give a special shout-out to our partners, whose involvement was instrumental every step of the way.” – Grant Marcus, Associate Director at Making Moves.

A special story lies behind every office move, and this one is truly exceptional.

We excitedly share the incredible journey of some of our recent office relocations. Each move represents more than just a change of address; it’s a tale of collaboration, innovation, and success.

Stage 1: Proactivity during the pandemic

During the pandemic, we delightedly secured the mandate for Depop/Etsy. Overcoming challenges, we successfully relocated Depop/Etsy to Derwent’s iconic 20 Farringdon building, negotiating an exceptional deal for a 33,000 sq ft fully fitted out office.

Stage 2: Creating impressive opportunities

With knowledge of Depop’s impending move, we engineered a solution for our client Accurx to secure and relocate into an 11,000 sq ft off-market warehouse space in the heart of Shoreditch. Collaborating closely with landlord HDG, we transformed the warehouse into an extraordinary Cat A space, boasting natural light, exposed brickwork, pitched ceilings and a private terrace with 360° views of the London skyline.

Stage 3: Letting our new space

We then collaborated with multiple partners to let Steven Bartlett and his team at Steven Bartlett LTD acquire the remaining 24,000 sq ft space. Following his record-winning podcast’s success, Bartlett aimed to expand into a podcast platform. Having outgrown their old office and recognising a need for more creativity and collaboration areas, the vacant building will undergo a bespoke fit-out.

This journey showcases the importance of proactivity and creating opportunities for clients. Grant Marcus AssocRICS, our Associate Director, offered his perspective: “Our team worked tirelessly on this scheme for over three years. It’s one of my career’s most rewarding projects – incredibly gratifying to see the final results.
